Accommodation

Accommodation in Malawi, despite the it’s tourist industry’s relative youth, is excellent and varied. Fine examples include a log-cabin-style lodge in Nyika National Park with one of Africa’s best montane views, Lilongwe National Park’s safari lodge, often considered the country’s best, and lakeside beachfront hotel-style accommodation. Whether the visitor is after luxury or something more along the line of a camp, or various levels of villa accommodation, Malawi can provide it.

From wildlife to water sports, Malawi also offers a huge range of activities. There are several wonderful reserves, including Majete National Park, one of the continent’s great conservation success-stories and the country’s only Big Five reserve, and Liwonde with its considerable elephant population and attendant crocodile and hippo. Across the country the flora is often as spectacular as the fauna, and of course Lake Malawi is a destination in itself, for its wildlife, beaches and water sports.
