We like to think that all the camps, ranches and houses on our portfolio are the best their countries have to offer, but there are a small number of exceptional properties that we call our special projects.  

Catering for a low volume, high-end clientel, these outstanding projects have come about largely as a result of their owners approaching Journeys by Design, and it is something we have been involved in since Will Jones set about protecting the eastern edge forests of Lake Langano in the early nineties.

Given its development, its wildlife and its stunning coastline, the majority of our projects are based in Kenya. Each is original in its own right; each takes very seriously its role in the conservation of the local environment; and each offers its guests a rare and unforgettable experience of Africa.
