Zimbabwe offers safaris in two main areas: Hwange and Mana Pools, two large reserves that between them represent the best that Zimbabwe has to offer. Located on the western route to Victoria Falls, Hwange is little-visited yet possessed of plentiful accommodation from which to venture out into the deserts, wetlands and hills to experiencethe wildlife they contain, including big cats, elephant and plentiful birds. Mana Pools is a unique reserve of waterways and grasslands arranged around four ox-bow lakes, and is notable for the ecological thoughtfulness of its running.
